🚀 Discover Dastra version 1.8.7!

We are delighted to present version 1.8.7 of Dastra!

This version brings a set of useful tweaks and small new features, all designed to improve your everyday experience.

On the menu: a discreet but effective redesign of our table views for smoother navigation, support for Consent Mode V2, the ability to favorite your workspaces and features, and a few welcome adjustments to forms and access rights.

As always, we used this version as an opportunity to fix several bugs and fine-tune the interface wherever necessary.

Here are all the details 👇

🚀 New Features

Improved Table View Layout

We have redesigned the table display to improve ergonomics and make navigation more comfortable.

The top part of tables is now fixed, allowing you to keep column headers visible at all times. Pagination buttons are also always accessible, even in the longest tables—no more scrolling to the bottom to change pages.

We've also moved the column management button to this upper section.

Automatic Locking of Certain Fields in Widget Requests

The email and message fields in a rights request are now locked when they originate from a widget.   These details, provided directly by the requester via the form, can no longer be modified to guarantee data integrity.

Ability to Favorite Workspaces and Features

You can now add up to 5 workspaces to your favorites to find them at the top of the workspace list (and workspace selector).

You can also add up to 5 modules to your favorites, pinning them at the top of the sidebar for quick access.

Google Consent Mode V2 is now supported by the Dastra cookie widget!

Improved Reference Form Interface

The reference form interface has been improved with the creation of a floating footer menu for quick access to navigation and save buttons.

Authenticated Mode for Privacy Hubs

You can now enable authenticated mode on privacy hubs, which are normally public portals accessible to anyone with the URL. This mode requires users to log in via a Dastra authentication form to access the hub. For an even smoother experience, we recommend combining it with SSO.

Native Integrations with Outlook and Gmail for SMTP Configuration

We have added two native integrations with Outlook and Gmail for our SMTP server feature.   Until now, it was possible to configure custom SMTP servers, but without a direct connection to these email services.   Now, our customers can connect their Outlook or Gmail account directly to Dastra to delegate notifications, making configuration simpler and improving reliability when sending via these platforms.

🔄 IMPORTANT CHANGE: Restricted access to the register by organizational unit

Many of you have asked us about this:

We've made a major change to the system for managing registry access rights.

🧑‍💼 What changes?

Until now, users with a role that included the "Manage users and organizational units" read permission (activated by default in the Administrator role) had access to all elements of the registry, regardless of their organizational unit.

From now on, this global access is restricted:

👉 Visibility rules per organizational unit are strictly enforced.

❗ Consequences:

Administrators or users with a role containing this permission will lose access to registry items if they do not explicitly have rights to the organizational units concerned.

This means that even an administrator will no longer be able to view an item if his or her role does not include access to the corresponding organizational unit.

✅ What to do?

To restore access to certain registry items:

Go to the organizational unit settings.

Grant explicit access rights to the relevant users or roles for each organizational unit containing registry items.
